Five years ago I though Apple would enable merging of iPhoto Libraries , but their marketing team decided that was an Aperture feature, not an iPhoto feature. . In the physical world, it doesn't take five years ...From it, you can quickly access formatting options, insertable symbols, clip art, your iPhoto library, reference tools, and Office’s Scrapbook and Project Center. In previous versions, those tools were scattered among menus, toolbars, ...Just a quick note to say I haven't 'left the building'.... just having trouble with my iphoto library... trying to merge over 35000 photos to a new library as the original one was failing... I'm telling you, it is not easy to be without ...

iPhoto storage macosxcom

If you don't already have your library on an external, do it like this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1229. To merge your libraries, try something like iPhoto Library Manager. It allows merging without duplicating everything. Good luck! ...but now i'm left with dozens of iphoto libraries and am in the long, drawn-out process of trying to merge them all. so there's my equally long and drawn-out excuse ...

Ease the moving of photos between events in iPhoto Mac OS X

My Events is a little bit of a mess when I first launched iPhoto '08 yesterday, but it's lots cleaner with some quick merging and splitting, and it's rendered most of my albums redundant, but there are certain albums I am certainly keeping, ..... As a lazy iPhoto user, I find this new iPhoto quite refreshing and helpful. It has really forced me to be organized. I have spent the last couple of days revamping my library, hiding and deleting pics, naming events, ...While iPhoto Library Manager facilitates the process it's not necessary. Perhaps you can enlighten us as to how I can combine 3 seperate iPhoto albums then? Cause I've got 3. If they were in any other photo software I would just merge ...hey guys, just wanna ask if it's possible to merge 2 iphoto libraries? will duplicating be happening if ever pwede? thanks in advance...To reedit these images, I have to open them in Photoshop, save outside the iPhoto library, reimport to the iPhoto library as a new event, merge events, and then hide the original photo in iPhoto. In 06, all I had to do was save. ...
